文具病部落格的主持人、也是直物生活文具的兩位創辦人之一，在2013年完成這本書之後沒多久就催生了直物。由於幾乎是在一邊寫書的情況下一邊籌劃開店事宜，所以這本書對我們來說在許多方面都有特別的情感。


這本書以文具病為書名。雖然文具病給人的印象是以專業的角度來介紹文具、或述說文具的歷史為主，但其實在這本書的企劃階段我就已經決定不朝向介紹式的方向來寫（而且介紹文具相關資訊的書也已經太多、不缺這一本）。我認為，文具的介紹是我創立文具病部落格的初衷，因此所有介紹文具的內容以開放的方式提供給任何能來到文具病部落格的觀眾（包括就算是翻牆也要過來的朋友）閱讀。如果把文具介紹當做書的內容來販售，就無法讓那麼多人跨出第一步、試著去了解、進而接觸文具。

在文具病書中我說了一些我與文具互動所產生的想法，或是因文具而讓我與其他人交流之後所發生的小故事，雖然也有文具介紹，但大多只是隨著文章發展而穿插的小片段而已。不過在寫書的時候，編輯建議我放入一些推薦文具店的內容，畢竟還是有許多朋友想去逛逛具有特色的文具店，於是我就介紹了幾間常去的店家－包括我的朋友所開設，被我戲稱為「傳說中的文具店」的一間小店（因為它每週只開2天，還不是週週開店）。此外，書中也跨界收錄了一家我個人相當喜愛的咖哩名店，想著想著又流口水了…
