握位採用黃銅製成，筆尖稍重且重心較低，書寫時就會感受到平衡的書寫舒適度。而握位上的粒狀橡膠握位提供出乎意料外的舒適且握得牢固，一體成形的筆頭與握位設計，書寫時筆尖不會鬆動，書寫舒適感不會受到影響。

筆桿為消光表面，可防止不必要的光反射，減少眼睛疲勞

筆芯硬度顯示窗，放了什麼濃度的筆芯只要調整這個小窗就可以調整做標示

護芯管長度為 4mm ，閱讀與書寫文字皆不易被手遮住

筆尾按壓為橡膠材質，Q彈好壓並且相當舒適

基本色

除了一開始的黑色，也發展出了紅、灰筆身。

鮮紅色筆身較為少見，而橡皮擦紅、灰為限量，形成黑紅的搭配，紅黑比重也相當適當。

SMASH在實用面上由於有了極具機能性的設計加持，獲得許多好評，在日本文具同好眼中被視為三大好寫自動鉛筆之一。不過它與同門的PG5一樣，原本有著龐大的家族成員而原本只剩下0.5mm仍在生產，現今已有0.3版本重新復刻，連筆軸都有新色了。如果喜歡自動鉛筆，那麼SMASH是一個可以嘗試以及收藏的對象。

限定色

這系列SMASH由一間日本文具公司與Pentel公司合作推出、僅能由該文具公司銷售的限定色，均使用0.5筆芯。筆身經體改為特別色，共有金、銀兩色。
