顏料系墨水發色濃郁，顏色飽和度高、印在黑色、深色紙的遮蓋力良好，例如印在喜帖上面就是不錯的使用方式。
蓋印前請先將印章橡皮面多次按壓於印台面，讓印章有充足的油墨即可表現出細緻的圖案。
墨水為不易揮發性，若蓋子忘記關上也不易乾掉，清潔時可以用Shachihata 的印章清潔溼紙巾。


墨水乾燥速度佳，若是印在非光澤面的一般用紙上，印完的圖案也具有相當程度的防水效果。僅能蓋在吸收表面上，如紙張(無法蓋在亮面紙材)、布料。
註：由於油墨所含之金、銀粉是固態，無法完全滲入紙張纖維、因此蓋印、乾燥之後摸到圖案會有些許掉粉、但印好的圖案不會糊掉。此為這類印台的特性。
